Weston Beal moved to approve the minutes. Randy Wolff seconded. Without objection the minutes were approved. Call for opens: - none AR review: - Bob will create a bug report to correct compiler warnings as far as possible. done - Weston will create a bug report to correct the text of the AMI executable error to not say architecture but error in loading library. working on BUG245 - Bob will upload the BUG241 report to the website and submit for approval at the next open forum meeting. done - Randy will search for a test case to use for a bug report about [IBIS Ver] in an IBS file referenced from an EMD file. done; sent files to task group New ARs: Discussion: a. (BUG245)_dratf1 - Pending BUG regarding Platform in AMI The group reviewed the initial work of this bug report and added some details from previous emails discussing this message. Bob noted that if this message should be a numbered message then we should also make all other error and warning messages to have numbers. Bob reminded the group that Mike LaBonte delivered a presentation about how the parser checks executable AMI models some years ago when the parser was enhanced to check the executables. b. BUG243_draft1 - compiler warnings Graham Kus Mathworks, etc. Make File Warning messages during architecture compile with: " warning: variable '' set but not used [-Wunused-but-set-variable]. Michael Schaeder may provide some feedback concerning gcc compilation. Curtis Clark’s suggestion. Bob get direct input from Atul. Note, Linux and Windows messages are different. Bob showed his first draft of the bug report. He included those who provided input on this topic as reporters of the bug. The bug report includes various email messages from the reporters. The report also includes feedback from Atul with some guidelines on how we should specify which warnings should be dealt with. Different compilers on different OS generate different warnings depending on the flags given to the compilers. Bob will state that the warnings should be corrected as much as possible. Bob will work on the report to specify which compilers to check and the specific compiler flags to use in checking. c. Quality Specification and checklist power aware discussion. Mic Schaeder checked [Merged Pin] check and it is working properly. Weston sent a new draft of the specification document to the task group email list for review. Arpad Muranyi suggested during the IBIS Open Forum meeting last Friday that he might have some details to add regarding using Touchstone models in EMD files. There was no other feedback nor discussion on this topic this week. d. BUG244_draft1 - Randy Wolff’s write-up based on Arpad Muranyi’s original concern about IBIS Ver in IBS file referenced from an EMD file discussed on May 2, 2023. Bob showed the latest draft of the bug report. The bug report includes the text of the EMD and IBS files for the test case. The group discussed possible changes to the text of error message E5810 to indicate that the IBS file was checked for IBIS v7.0 compatibility. Tabled topics (no discussion without motion): a.
